April 2017 - Preparing For Lift-Off

CARETAKING FOR OUR CLASS OF 2017
At Thomas Nelson we continuously work to support our Generals taking CARE of each other while pursuing their future story goals. Our Senior Lift-Off Week symbolically represents our mission and vision within the ideal of CAREtaking that allows our Generals to leave our school better than they found it. Check out the overview of events for our class of 2017.

March 2017: Celebrating Together

PARENT PIONEERS & PURPLE COWS
Since opening our doors in August of 2012, TNHS community members have continued to pioneer and make history. This pioneering spirit was front and center at our first ever parent social event on March 11th. We were fortunate to have just over 40 community members present to celebrate and create the future together. Everyone that attended walked away with a vision for a more connected future for our community. Yes.

OPERATION PURPLE COW
What do you get when you mix six weeks of group preparation, an interview audience of twenty, and General Courage? Operation Purple Cow!  Generals made history in this unique event that allowed over 35 community members to provide one-on-one interviews to 152 of our senior class of 2017. CARE & Connect classes looking on provided a truly Purple Cow experience for both our visitors and our Generals. Genny was beaming with pride!

January 2017: Connect - Parent Partner Survey

PARTNERING WITH PARENTS SURVEY
An essential part of our vision at Thomas Nelson is parent and community partnership. Every year we issue the Partnering with Parents Survey to provide important feedback from our parents.

Click Here - Partnering with Parents Survey to share your voice.

The purpose of this survey is:

  1. To learn from you and determine how we can continue to grow as a school community in supporting parents.
  2. Share the results in the February Edition of The General.
  3. Allow TNHS staff LEADERs and General Hand Parent LEADERs to learn from the data and establish goals for the year ahead.
Please take 3 to 4 minutes to complete this survey.
